PRAGUE..Czech Republic!!!!!!!

View of the Charles Bridge, a major tourist attraction. The top pic is me next to a wall dedicated to John Lennon, we came upon it while we were walking through the streets, they leave paint out and brushes and you can paint a comment if you want to......interesting!
Saw this lovely garden on the way down from the hilltop castle.
Truly beautiful!
Beautiful stained glass windows are featured all through the church.
View of inside the church
At last I can put up some pics for you of Prague a breathtaking place.........it is really a visually lovely city although very crowded with tourists at the moment. We were quite amazed when we arrived, sort of astounded really as we were picked up at the railway station by a guy in a suit driving a black Mercedes!!! He shook our hands and then told us all about the place on the way to our hotel and told us to take the complimentary bottles of mineral water in the door!! We had booked a driver but I must admit I was thinking mini van!!!! (LOL)
The castle and St Vitas Church
We have been up to the castle and Church that are famous landmarks here today. I shall put up some pics now so I hope you enjoy them!

  3. Hi Trace

Prague is really beautiful. The colours in the stained glass are so rich and I love the view of the roof tops with the little dormer windows on the rooftops. It looks like a vision from a fairytale.

It also looks like it could be a bit cooler than Germany. Can't wait for the next series of photos.

I see you weren't disappointed with Venice, would love to return after seeing all your photos. You will have heaps to tell me on our bike rides - they may be slow going with all the talking! Have you both upgraded yet to business class to come home? Happy travelling

  7. Hi Dave and Rosemary,it has been great although back trouble has slowed me down a bit. The food has been good, no probs, thought we might have been in for sausages and cabbage in Germany but had some lovely meals there. The weather is a bit cooler here but nice, glad we bought some warmer clothes. Will put a post up for the girls next! Stay posted

  11. Hi Michelle, it is a lovely place especially with regard to the architecture, we madly take pics everywhere as you turn around and there's another lovely building in front of you. We were only saying this morning we'd recommend to people to visit here. My cousins like it too.One more full day here then fly out to Paris at night on Monday.

  12. In the USA now. Phone doesn't work. Email me if need to get in touch.

Already got deja vu about my last trip.. no one can understand what I say. Went to starbucks just then, they ask my name for the coffee, I say Scott.. they ask me to repeat it.. The girl says "ohh you mean scart" (yknow how they pronounce it). Funny.

  13. Hi Scart (LOL)
Funny isn't it!!!! Language is so different everywhere. I have no idea with Czech and even less idea with getting my head around their money. We handed over 870 K for our meal and Dad gave them 1000 and said keep the change!!!!!It almost feels like Monopoly money! Keep in touch and be careful
