Hi, well as promised a few pics of Napoleons tomb and as a bonus some pics of some other famous peoples headstones.................all very interesting to us!!!!! We spent the morning walking around Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery. You may have heard of it Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf and the like are buried there and many many tourists come to it every year.
After a hectic morning riding the Metro there and back I ironed our clothes and we caught the train over to pick up our friends from Brisbane and we went out to dinner at Bouef sur la Toit. It was a happy night and we finished it off walking under the Eiffel Tower all lit up for the night. It is an amazing big sight!
Tomorrow we're off to Provence by train! I so hope I get to see some fields of Lavender but I'm not sure it's the right time, I'll have to wait and see!
Fascinating photos, Trace. Who was buried with Edith Piaff?....and Napoleans tomb is enormous. Paris just sparkles at night with the Eiffel Tower on show, doesn't it? I liked the decor of the restaurant too, very art deco. Well I can't wait to see the photos of Provence, really looking forward to it.
