Well after an early breakfast in Venice we finally set off for Berlin. There were strikes in Venice, we could see a gathering at the end of our street and at first thought the water taxis and boats weren't running, slight panic! You take a boat over to the airport and go from there usually. Anyway we didn't have to find out about a bus thank goodness as it was a garbage strike!!!!!!!Apparently they have strikes all the time.
Had a good flight with Easyjet although it was delayed due to the strike. Arrived in Berlin, took two trains and arrived at our hotel. Slightly worried at the Underground as police and riot police were pouring in (huge men) but they were apparently heading to the soccer game that night!!!!!!! Stephen was all cool of course but I was certainly watching what was happening!

Our hotel is cool!!! What a comparison to Italy!!! I love both hotels! The prints in the room here have cats on them which I appreciated immediately...........will post more pics soon.
