VENICE  here we come.....only a few days to go! A good friend asked me to put a pic up of the inflatable coat hanger I spoke about in an earlier post so here it is. It looked pretty boring on its own so I added a few decorative travel pieces to jazz it up. I have also put the little clothes line I take with me in the photo.  Most travellers probably know all about these items and they're nothing new but on our  trips I find them really useful.
My packing is nearly complete now and so far only 12kgs so I'm pretty pleased with that, will put a final post up with the end result before we leave! Stay posted. After that post it will finally be holiday pics...can't wait!

Handy Mirror

I was shopping recently and came across this handy mirror, handy because it has 5x magnification and because it has little suction caps on the back meaning you can attach it to other surfaces. It is also quite small and takes up very little room in a toiletries bag. Some hotels I have stayed in have poor lighting so magnification helps immensely, especially when applying make-up.

The VALIANT

I've just been thinking about our return from Europe in 2009.

We found on arrival home a few items we didn't have when we left...............a Valiant that son number two had purchased and......... a  young lady. The young lady suddenly moved out and now visits regularly but the Valiant remained!!  I might add it didn't have the new coat of paint on it that the pic shows!

(Wonder what will greet us after this next trip???????????????????)

Hi there........just a short post, I am new to blogging and not everything is set out exactly as I would like. I hope it will all improve with time! I'm learning as I go, through trial and error and quite enjoying it. Hope to have lots of interesting pics up for you in a few weeks or so when this trip is underway!!

The first big challenge of any trip is the packing! I plan to pack enough for about 5 weeks in the suitcase and hand luggage pictured. I managed to get everything I needed into these two pieces of luggage on our last trip and hope to do so again!!  Stay posted!
